The answer is-“VEDIC MATHS”
Vedic mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of the mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911&1918 by Shri Bharthi Krishna Tirthaji(1884-1960).According to his research all of mathematics is based on sixteen sutras or word formulas which he claimed he had based on a lost appendix of Adharva vedha,an ancient text of an Indian teaching called Veda. For example, “Vertically and crosswise” is one of these sutras. These formulas describes the way the mind naturally works and are therefore a great help in directing the student in appropriate method of solution.
It has some similarities to the Trachtenberg system in that its speeds up some arithmetic calculations. It claims to have application to more advanced mathematics, such as calculus and linear algebra. The system was first published in the book Vedic mathematics in 1965.The system has since been developed further and there have been several other books released.
In the Vedic system “difficult” problems are huge sums can often be solved immediately by the Vedic method. These striking and the beautiful method are just a part of complete system of mathematics which is far more systematic than the modern”system”.Vedic mathematics manifests the coherent and unified structure of mathematics and the methods are complementary direct and easy.
The Vedic mathematics sutras. This list of sutras is taken from the book Vedic mathematics, which includes the full list of sixteen sutras and in Sanskrit, but in some cases a translation of the Sanskrit is not given in the text and comes from elsewhere.
Now try the above calculation with the following method, A quick way to square numbers that ends with 5 using the formula BY ONE MORE THAN THE ONE BEFORE.
For example, 85X85=7225.By Vedic Maths the answer is in two parts; 72 & 25.The last part is always 25.The first part is the first number,8 multiplied by the number “one more“which is nine; so 8X9=72.
